Taxi/ Private Hire Medical
A taxi driver medical is an assessment that private hire/hackney carriage/ other drivers need to pass before being granted their licence to operate. The tests are carried out to ensure that taxi drivers are in good enough health to safely drive a private hire vehicle or hackney carriage on public roads. Following the medical, depending on the council requirements our doctor may be required to determine whether you meet group 2 standards. We are experienced in conducting taxi medicals and we are registered with most councils in the UK as our Doctors are GMC registered local doctors
What will happen at the examination?
1) Vision test
2) Blood pressure check
3) Height & Weight
3) You will be asked questions regarding your medical history
4) Cardiovascular (heart) Check
5) Respiratory (lung) Check
6) Neurological (nerves) Check
7) Musculoskeletal (muscles/joints) Check
8) Urine dipstick and other testing (if required)
9) Colour Vision (if required)
